The ToFscan a Neuromuscular Transmission Monitor (NMT) is used to measure muscle relaxation in patients under anaesthesia. It is essential for healthcare professionals in operating rooms, recovery rooms, and intensive care units. The ToFscan helps monitor the effects of Neuromuscular Block (NMB) and decide on the right dosage and timing for NMB reversal agents, which improves patient safety and speeds up recovery.
The ToFscan complies with the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI) guidelines, offering precise NMB monitoring. It features various stimulation modes such as Train of Four (TOF), Post Tetanic Count (PTC), Double Burst Stimulation (DBS), Single Twitch (ST), and Tetanus (TET). The device’s 3D accelerometer ensures accurate readings, and the sensor splint’s ergonomic design ensures proper placement.
The ToFscan can function independently or be integrated with patient monitoring systems for centralised data collection and monitoring. Its user-friendly numerical and graphical displays make it easy to interpret the data, enhancing clinical efficiency and patient outcomes. The package includes one Draeger ToFscan device, an adult hand sensor, a pole clamp, and cable support.
