The Vivid™ Explorer is a mobile echocardiography system used by lead physiologists, heads of cardiology, medical physics and procurement teams across cardiology, intensive care, coronary care, cardiac theatres, the emergency department, wards and the catheter laboratory.

It uses a cSound beamformer to generate its imaging performance. This promotion covers the portable battery to enable battery scan mode, which removes the requirement to boot the system before scanning. In practice that saves valuable time between patients and in emergencies, when waiting for a system to start up delays assessment.

The option allows echocardiography to be performed wherever the patient is, without compromising on capability, which suits services running studies across several locations in a single session and teams responding to acute presentations away from the echocardiography room. Because it is an option on the Vivid Explorer platform rather than a separate device, departments gain the capability without adding equipment to manage, clean or store.
