Important Customer Notice Status New Type Supply Disruption

The situation is changing quickly, and the details provided here reflect the most up-to-date information available at the time of publication. 

Situation overview:

•  On Tuesday 25 August 2026, one of our suppliers, Boston Scientific, identified a cyber security incident affecting certain information technology systems.
• The attack resulted in a network outage and disruption to the company’s operations and business applications, including the ability to process and ship orders.
• The investigation into the cyber security incident is ongoing. The company is working diligently to restore affected functions and systems access. However, the timeline for full restoration is not yet known.
• We are working with Boston Scientific to better understand the situation and impact.
• NHS Supply Chain has set up a Major Incident Team to manage this disruption and has collaborated with NHS England and the Department for Health and Social Care, who have engaged with the National Supply Disruption Response (NSDR) team, to provide a system wide response.
