Chlorine

This Nationally Contracted Product (NCP) has been introduced to rationalise the chlorine product range and deliver cost savings for NHS trusts. The activity supports improved value, reduced variation, and a more resilient supply base across the NHS.

The procurement exercise has achieved a national savings opportunity of £700,000 including VAT* for the NHS. Two suppliers have been successful on the NCP and have been awarded on 70 / 30 percentage volume split. All awarded products are already available within the NHS and through our route.

NCP supplier impact

• Guest Medical Limited and GV Health are the two successful suppliers for this NCP. They have been awarded based on a volume split of 70% for GV Health and 30% Guest Medical.
• The following suppliers were unsuccessful for the NCP and their equivalent products will be removed (delisted) from the online catalogue for a minimum period of 17 months:
