Clinical Quality Assurance Dashboard

Providing insight into how each of our frameworks are progressing.

Our Clinical Quality Assurance Dashboard was launched in October 2024 and has been designed to provide up to date insight into how each of our pre-tender frameworks are progressing. It’s also a useful tool to highlight any risks or issues that need to be addressed.

Utilising our clinical quality standards, the dashboard provides a single version of the truth for quality and demonstrates progress against each standard using a Red Amber Green (RAG) system. For improved accessibility, the latest publication has replaced the colour red with a dark grey (with white text).

The standards in the publication include:

  • Mitigation of quality and safety concerns.
  • End user engagement in specifications.
  • Clinical effectiveness.
  • Human factors assessment.
  • Health inequalities assessment.
  • Patient engagement in specifications.

Each month every framework going through a renewal is assessed against these standards and a RAG status assigned. Red flags will highlight any areas of concern, which will enable the clinical teams to proactively identify solutions for issues. This may involve working cross-functionally with other teams to mitigate any issues as part of the specification build. There will be a robust lessons-learned process to enable continuous improvement of our processes.

The dashboard will provide both internal and external stakeholders with insight into how our clinical teams embed clinical quality into procurement activity and put patients at the heart of everything we do. This information forms a key part of our internal governance procedures.
