Patient Assessment Devices
Overview
This framework starts on 10 April 2025, runs for 12 months and ends on 9 April 2026. There is an option to extend for an additional 12 months.
This is to align the following frameworks ready for the launch of Total Patient Assessment Devices Solutions framework in 2026:
- Patient Assessment Devices
- Blood Pressure Cuffs and Support Products
- Thermometer Devices and Support Products
This framework offers a wide range of essential devices used to assess the well-being and health of a patient across a number of hospital departments and community settings.
Important notice – for stocked products only.
Following the move to Buy Price = Sell Price, new contract / framework prices will only come into effect when stock of all products on the old contract / framework price has been depleted.
See our Useful Links section for related frameworks, including Blood Pressure Cuffs and Support Products and Thermometer Devices and Support Products.
Savings Opportunities
The framework provides a National Pricing Matrix (NPM) from a number of suppliers, which will allow savings opportunities for customers who are able to consolidate their purchasing.
If you are interested in making savings via the NPM, please speak to our Out of Hospital Care team. See our Useful Links section for contact details.
Sustainability and Social Value
Sustainability, net zero and social value are important elements in how NHS Supply Chain build our framework offering through the procurement process, tendering, supplier award and contract management.
There are five mandatory requirements for suppliers to address supporting compliance with relevant PPNs and NHS England policy.
- Carbon Reduction Plan (PPN 06/21)
- Evergreen Assessment
- Modern Slavery Assessment (PPN 02/23)
- Social Value (PPN 06/20)
- NHS England Net Zero Roadmap.
Awarded suppliers meet the current milestones on the net zero roadmap and have awareness and understanding of future milestones.
As part of the tender process, the suppliers were asked social value questions on the following topics:
- Social Value Question 1: Fighting Climate Change
- Social Value Question 2: Modern Slavery
