The Olympus ENDO-AID CADe (computer-assisted diagnosis) provides real-time detection of lesions during a colonoscopy, which can help to enhance adenoma detection rates (ADR). Clinical studies have shown that ADR increases with CADe, which is crucial to improving the accuracy of adenoma detection, leading to potentially better post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer (PCCRC) prevention.
Continuously analysing the image throughout the procedure can help endoscopists focus on flagged abnormalities, potentially leading to less strain, more efficient procedures and improved clinical outcomes.
Users can choose between ‘normal’ mode for flag announcements and ‘target’ mode for direct on-screen markings, depending on their preference.
ENDO-AID CADe also works seamlessly with the latest Olympus flexible video processor, EVIS X1, our most advanced endoscopy system.
Training is supported through the provision of real-time feedback, which could benefit trainee endoscopists, while the AI-powered algorithm is trained on an extensive dataset of images, allowing for accurate and reliable detection.
