The Health and Care Act 2022 introduced new legislative measures, which are expected to bring significant changes to procurement and supply chains within the health sector to drive forward integration and innovation.

This event was an opportunity to explore the impact on buyers and suppliers in UK healthcare, share best practice amongst procurement leaders, help anyone who is responsible for procurement to navigate rapidly changing policy, and keep on top of changes to how they carry out their role in the NHS. 

Colleagues from NHS Supply Chain took part in a number of sessions at the event.

Sara Ford, Strategy and Corporate Communications Director, NHS Supply Chain were joined by Nils Van De Winkel, Head of Procurement Data, NHS England to discuss data and transparency.

Leaders Debate: Supplier Engagement – 15:10

Brian Mangan, Value Based Procurement Project Lead and Carol Callister, Head of Category, NHS Supply Chain discussed supplier engagement alongside Conor Allmond, Procurement Manager, Oxford University Hospitals and Penny Green, Procurement Director, NHS Commercial Solutions.
