Important Customer Notice Update

Ref: 2024/2492 ICN Number: 2492
  • The supplier 3M has made us aware they are relabelling the affected product boxes.
  • Until these relabelled outer boxes are available, customers need to be aware that some products received from NHS Supply Chain may contain the incorrect metric dimension on the unit of issue outer carton (box of 25).
  • The error affects only the metric dimension (cm). The imperial dimension (inches) stated is correct.
  • The dimensions are correctly listed on the shipper and pouch (individual dressing) level and, therefore, are available at the point of use.

Alert:

  • The supplier 3M has made us aware that specific lots of 3M™ Tegaderm™ CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate IV Securement Dressing (MPC 1657R) have an incorrect dressing dimension on the primary carton.
  • The dimension is reported as 8.5 cm x 8.5 cm and the correct dimension is 8.5 cm x 11.5 cm.
  • The error affects only the metric dimension. The imperial dimension (inches) stated is correct.
  • The dimensions are correctly listed on the shipper and pouch level and therefore are available at the point of use.
  • There is no impact to fit, form, safety, or performance of the product.

This is to help them to reconcile their stock and evidence to the regulators that all actions have been taken to ensure that the unused products have been removed from customers to prevent inadvertent use of faulty and potentially unsafe products.
