Product Update Becton Dickinson Foley Catheter Tray Products (ICN 2540)

Change:

• The supplier Becton Dickinson has informed us of a product update with its Foley Catheter Tray products.
• There are nine product codes affected.
• The product update is due to supply issues of the sterile gloves provided.

Impact:

• The products will be supplied temporarily without the sterile gloves.
• The nine products affected are:
  • FSS607, FSS604, FSS657, FSS676, FSS675, FSS679, FSS640, FSS637 and FSS680.
• Please note FSS607, FSS676, FSS675 and FSS640 are currently subject to supply issues and information on the availability of these products can be found on ICN 1684.
• The trays will have a sticker on the outer packing noting the lack of sterile gloves and notifying the clinician to obtain a sterile pair before beginning the catheterisation procedure.

• The supply disruption of gloves is expected to be resolved by 1 August 2024.
