Supply Issues Becton Dickinson Dedicated Pump Sets FKA329 and FKA321 (ICN 2434)

Change:

• The supplier Becton Dickinson has informed us of a supply issue with its Dedicated Pump Sets.
• There are two product codes affected:
  • FKA329 – Administration set Alaris GP Volumetric pump
  • FKA321 – Administration set Alaris GP Volumetric pump.
• The supply issue is due to raw material shortage.

 Impact:

• FKA329 is currently subject to Control Demand Management.
• FKA321 is currently suspended and unavailable to order.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue. However, some of these products may also be subject to intermittent supply.
• Both affected product codes are dedicated pump sets, and the alternatives will need to be reviewed clinically to make sure they meet the needs of the customer.
• We are currently sourcing further alternatives and updates will be made to the product listing as soon as possible.

• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 31 July 2024.

• If you have an urgent clinical need for any of the products placed on to Control Demand Management, please contact our Customer Services team and detail your requirement.
• Clinical review will be needed for the alternatives.
• The continuing supply issue is being monitored in conjunction with the supplier and we will continue to review the stock situation to minimise further disruption and update this ICN with the latest information as it becomes available.
• However, as this is currently a disrupted market and supply is subject to rapid change, the alternatives offered may also be experiencing temporary supply issues and therefore, customers may need to consider clinically reviewing all additional alternatives provided.
