Supply Issues Becton Dickinson Extension Set Products FKA849 (ICN 2460)

Change:

• The supplier Becton Dickinson has informed us of a supply issue with its Extension Set products.
• There is one product code affected in total:
  • FKA849 – Extension Set Alaris CC pump infusion set with in-line pressure monitoring.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.

Impact:

• FKA849 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
• This product is anticipated to be removed from Protect Demand Management by 1 May 2024.
