Change:

  • The supplier Becton Dickinson UK Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Administration Set products.
  • There is one product code affected:
    • FKA887 – Administration set Alaris GP Volumetric pump.
  • The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.
  • Due to this ongoing supply issue, this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:          

  • FKA887 is still available to order on intermittent supply basis.
  • However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
  • A potential indirect alternative product is available to order through our online catalogue:
    • FKA861 – Administration set Alaris GP Volumetric pump.
  • However, this may also be subject to intermittent supply with the increase in demand.
