• The supply issue of PICC Lines with Becton Dickinson UK Ltd is continuing.
• Becton Dickinson has placed the products temporarily on hold, pending regulatory approval from British Standards Institution.
• The suppliers are seeking a derogation from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to allow Becton Dickinson to resume shipments of the products to the UK market until the regulatory approval is received.
• Becton Dickinson is not aware of any safety issues with the products.
• The affected product codes remain suspended and unavailable to order:
  • FRU001 – Catheter – Infusion (IR)
  • FSQ2089 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ9579 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ9586 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ959 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ9592 – PICC single lumen.
• Six product codes are affected in total.

• The supplier Becton Dickinson UK Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its PICC Lines.
• There are six product codes affected:
  • FRU001 – Catheter – Infusion (IR)
  • FSQ2089 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ9579 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ9586 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ959 – PICC single lumen
  • FSQ9592 – PICC single lumen.
• All of the above products are under regulatory investigation and are currently on hold when placing orders.
• There are no patient safety impacts and the supplier will not be issuing a recall for this product.

Impact:          

• All the affected product codes are currently suspended and unavailable to order.
