Supply Issues Vernacare International Limited Wipe Alcohol Based ECA424 (ICN 2552)

Change:

• The supplier Vernacare International Limited has informed us of a supply issue with its Alcohol Based Wipe products.
• There is one product code affected:
  • ECA424 – Wipe Alcohol Based Swab for skin cleansing and adhesive removal 70% IPA 30 x 60mm individual sachet 100 wipes per pack.
• The supply issues are due to significant shipping delays from China due to disruptions around the Suez Canal.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:

• ECA424 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
• Unfortunately, there are no alternatives available. Customers are advised to view the online catalogue for products they deem suitable.
