12 Month Electric Truck Pilot Begins
On the eve of Net Zero Week, NHS Supply Chain: Logistics commenced the operation of a 12 month pilot. A fleet of completely electric lorries are now delivering medical consumable products to NHS trusts.
The trial is part of an initiative led by the Department for Transport – the Battery Electric Truck Trial (BETT) – and will introduce DAF LF Electric trucks equipped with refrigerated bodies.
Performance data will be provided by pioneering technology to help inform future fleet operator buying decisions.
This new scheme is part of our ongoing commitment to support the key tools and capacity that builds on end-to-end supply chain resilience.
Further details are available in the full Press Release.
