Supply Issues Becton Dickinson UK Ltd Blood Sets FKA011 and FKA324 (ICN 2432)

Change:

• The supplier Becton Dickinson UK Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Blood Sets.
• There are two product codes affected:
  • FKA011 – Administration set gravity blood and blood derivatives
  • FKA324 – Administration set gravity blood and blood derivatives.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.

Impact:          

• FKA011 and FKA324 are currently suspended and unavailable to order.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.
• However, some of these products may also be subject to intermittent supply.
• All available alternatives will need to be reviewed clinically to make sure they meet the needs of the customer.
• We are currently sourcing further alternatives and updates will be made to the product listing as soon as possible.

• Customers are also advised to do a local stock take to mitigate the impact of the disruption.
• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 31 March 2024.
