Salary: £37,060 potential to rise to £43,600 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Advisor for the South region.

 

Purpose of the role

 

Working with clinical and non-clinical colleagues in NHS organisations within Integrated Care Systems, you will be leading development of Care Pathways, which include Value Based Procurement, Innovation and delivering value for money.

Using latest guidance, best practice and nationally approved recommendations (GIRFT, MedTech Directorate, AHSNs, NICE, MHRA, Royal Colleges, NHSE), and collaborating with NHS Supply Chain stakeholders (Hospital and Out of Hospital Care teams) you will support organisations to adopt innovation and clinical best practice, transforming care pathway outcomes for patients.

 

Responsibilities

 

Engage with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to explore, influence and deliver Value Based Procurement and Innovation.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders and NHSSC colleagues, to gain greater insight to the purchasing drivers and needs of the NHS.

Bring customer insights back into NHSSC to support other functions to drive their service delivery plans.

Be able to explore and identify end to end patient pathways with customers to support the delivery of improved patient outcomes.

 

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

 

You will have to have experience of working as a clinical nurse and collaborating with a variety of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

Experience of working in multi-supplier service environments gained within NHS industry.

Experience of relationship building with multiple stakeholders.

Strong understanding of NHS programmes to support the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan with established customer relationships.

Track record of change management and influencing the clinical need for change.

Have project management experience, including project risk identification, stakeholder mapping, benefits realisation and decision making cycle.

Understanding of Care Pathways and Value Based Procurement.

Strong communication skills including listening carefully to customer needs and probing beneath the surface to gain richer insight on views.

Home office working, working from home with visits to customer sites and as required office working including team days.
