What We Do

NHS Supply Chain provides patient-focussed healthcare products and supply chain services to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

Our end-to-end supply chain services incorporate procurement, logistics, e-Commerce and customer and supplier support. With our 2,400 employees, we transact around 315,000 product lines through our systems, ranging from bandages to baked beans, from gloves to implants and even diagnostic equipment such as MRI scanners.

We are working closely with the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) to deliver the £300m of procurement efficiencies that were highlighted in Lord Carter's interim report: Review of operational efficiency in NHS providers.

We work with a range of suppliers across diverse product categories to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products to more than 1000 NHS trusts and healthcare organisations.

NHS Supply Chain was formed from the NHS Logistics Authority and parts of the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA). We are operated by DHL (DHL Supply Chain Limited) on behalf of the NHS Business Services Authority.
